Welcome to Year 3!

Welcome to Year 3, and Key Stage 2!

The transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 means that the children are expected to take more responsibility for their own learning.

We encourage:

• Reading at home as often as possible, ideally every day. We will hear your child read in school once a week, through individual and guided reading sessions.
• Homework is set on a Friday and needs to be returned by the following Thursday.

PE will take place twice a week. Normal winter and summer kit is needed. Please check Google Classroom or messages from the school for the days, as they will change each term.

We are very lucky that Rock-it Music will continue music tuition on a Friday. You will be able to play lots of his instruments and learn how to play them correctly.

This year we will prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. These celebrations will take place in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. This is a very special time for you, your families and the local community.
