Nursery

Nursery Admissions & Uniform

 

We have a nursery setting at St Joseph’s offering 15 hours of free childcare. This is 3 hours each morning from 8.45-11.45, Monday – Friday. We can also offer places to Rising 3s in the term after the child’s 3rd birthday (subject to availability).

 

30 hours of free childcare is offered in partnership with Farlea Childcare, who operate out of our nursery classroom each afternoon. 15 hours is offered by St Joseph’s each morning with the additional 15 hours by Farlea Childcare.

 

Our nursery class is staffed by one qualified teacher and a teaching assistant.

 

Pupils are admitted to Nursery in the September following their third birthday.

 

Times and dates for applications are detailed below – but do ring the school office for advice if you’re not sure about anything.

 

Easter - April 2023 intake.

Applications for admission to nursery in April 2023 are now open.

 

If you would like to apply for a place in our nursery for after Easter 2023 please complete an application form and return to school.

There is no appeals process for Nursery admissions and the places will be allocated using our Nursery admissions criteria, which can be found below in the Nursery Admission Policy.

 

September 2023 Application Form

For those parents who wish for their child to start with us in September please apply before the deadline of 31st March. Offer date is 30th April 2023. Visits are warmly welcomed.

 

Nursery Admission Policy

 

Parents who are considering sending their child or children to St Joseph’s Catholic Nursery can contact Helen Edge, the School Bursar, who will explain the admission arrangements.

 

Parents are encouraged to look round the school and talk to the Headteacher, before coming to a decision; this can be arranged through the school.

 

Parents must make a separate application for admission to Reception at the appropriate time.

 

NURSERY UNIFORM

 


Our logo uniform is available from Crested Schoolwear, 67 High Green, Cannock WS11 1BN or A&J Designs, Unit 1, Apex Business Park, Walsall Road, Norton Canes, Cannock, WS11 9PU.  All other items are available through general outlets and chain stores. 

 

Nursery children are asked to wear the following:

Grey trousers/skirt

White polo shirt

Grey jumper/cardigan with logo

Red tie (Optional)

Suitable footwear (no open toed sandals)
